Known for its exquisite French-inspired cuisine and elegant ambiance, La Plume promises a dining experience that is both refined and inviting. As you step inside, you are greeted by a charming atmosphere enriched by thoughtful decor that balances sophistication with a cozy warmth.

As a food reviewer for Restaurant World, I was drawn to La Plume’s reputation for offering a delightful menu that showcases the best of French gastronomy. From warm marinated olives to premium oysters, the offerings here are designed to tantalize your palate. The appetizers, such as Tuna Tartare and the Provençal Soup, set the stage for the main courses—where dishes like the beautifully executed Duo of Beef and flavorful Seared Salmon shine.

But it’s not just the main courses that capture your attention. The desserts are noteworthy as well. The Chocolate Mousse is indulgently rich, and the Classic Crème Caramel steals the show with its smooth texture and the delightful addition of mulled wine-infused figs. Each dish is a testament to the culinary creativity that La Plume embodies, and it’s evident that the chef puts a great deal of care into the execution of the flavors.

We dined at La Plume for their Winterlicious menu, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, setting the perfect tone for a refined dining experience. The meal started off strong with flavourful appetizers, such as the Tuna Tartare was bright and refreshing, while the Provencal Soup was warm and comforting with mini scallops so yummy. However, we were a bit disappointed when the main dishes arrived while we were still enjoying our starters, something unexpected from a high-end French restaurant. That said, the Duo of Beef was beautifully executed, with a perfectly medium rate strip loin and delicious tender braised beef. The Seared Salmon was not bad and it complemented by mussels and a vibrant lemon caper sauce. Chocolate Mousse was rich and indulgent, and the Crème Caramel was my favourite because it’s smooth with a lovely mulled wine-infused fig. A highlight of the evening was La Plume’s Speakeasy bar hidden somewhere at the restaurant. The bar’s food menu is intriguing, which I can’t wait to try many of them on my next visit. Despite the minor service misstep, the chef’s execution of the dishes quickly made up for it, and we look forward to returning.

Came here for a weekday brunch (so ordered off the Lunch menu as the Brunch menu is only Saturdays and Sundays). Had a couple spicy Caesars (good spice level), Beef Tartare as an app (tastes better than it looks), Tuna Nicoise Salad as a main (great), and shared a Creme Brulee for desert (great). Overall, great vibes and services. Would come back.

We checked out La Plume at The Well in Toronto for brunch — a French-inspired restaurant with beautiful decor and a warm, cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail in both the design and the menu made for a great experience. We started with the Breakfast Bruschetta, topped with labneh, heirloom tomato, avocado, cucumber, olives, and basil on sourdough. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling — the labneh added a nice tang that tied everything together. I had the La Plume Breakfast, which came with two sunny-side-up eggs, bacon, lamb merguez, roasted mushrooms, potatoes, and sourdough. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, especially the merguez, which added a unique touch. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict, served on a toasted croissant with spinach and hollandaise, accompanied by a house salad. She swapped the poached eggs for fried ones, and it was still delicious — the hollandaise was rich and balanced. We finished with the Banoffee Waffle, which featured banana jam, banana caramel, chocolate, chantilly, and maple syrup. It was rich and decadent — definitely a sweet way to end the meal. Overall, La Plume offers a refined yet approachable brunch experience with thoughtful French touches. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something a little different in a beautiful setting.

We went here for a celebration and had the prix fixe 2course (steak frites striploin with beef tartare), octopus and happy hour. The food was excellent, the ambience here was very nice and our server was very attentive and fun! Prix fixe was good value and would recommend La Plume! I had low expectations given its O&B owned and how big of a letdown Canoe and Auberge are but this one is a gem.

Amazing place for brunch. Very lean and clean. The Confit waffle and their take on the croque Madame is a must try. Will be back soon.

Came here for brunch on a weekend and thought the French decor and theme was charming. The service was very nice and allowed us to customize our drinks, which I appreciated. The main dishes were exactly how you expect them to taste, but one surprise was the waffle. I don’t know if it was because I was hungrier that day, but the waffle was so good. It was fluffy yet crispy near the edges and I think had some type of vanilla flavor in the waffle. It was perfect as a shareable dessert and will order that again.
